So I got this toy… I mean “tool” recently and its fantastic. +1 would buy again.

I had to buy a new phone… which I promptly broke, but the point is, this thing is still awesome. I’m using it with a Nokia 7.1, I’m not a phone nerd, I just bought the phone because A) it was cheap and B) it works with the FLIR One.

Cost? Around $380 AUD on eBay. Setup time - minimal and easy, just the way I like it.

Issues? Nothing outside of the fact that I have one hand. If I had two hands targeting a point for temperature would be easy, one handed… its a pain, but I’ll get there.

Images below are just me seeing what the thing can and cannot do. However, it will be used to check 3D Print bed temperature consistency, engine temperatures for bikes/cars that I own and machining as well as de-watering pump testing. There’s talk of using it during HV testing at work (Ampcontrol) - watch for updates as HV temperature testing is a pet project of mine.
