Short Shifts — Small Moments, Big Impact

Fast, unpolished thoughts from the road, the helmet, and everyday life. These are the quick hits that keep me grounded and show the real side of adapting and riding with one arm.

Who am I?

Motorcycles have been a constant in my life, and losing an arm didn’t change that — it just meant I had to rebuild my approach to riding. I’m not positioning myself as an expert. I’m one of many amputee riders who adapted, engineered solutions, and kept moving forward.

I built an arm that helps me ride, but the deeper I’ve gone into this journey, the more I’ve realised that technique, mindset, and self‑awareness matter just as much as hardware. I’m getting older, I’ve seen too many riders get hurt, and it’s made me want to share what I’ve learned.

This site is about the arm, yes — but it’s also about the broader lessons that can help riders stay safer, ride smarter, and keep doing what they love.

Keep going

I’ve learned a lot the hard way, and if sharing it helps another rider stay upright, then this whole project is worth it. If you want to dig deeper into the lessons, stories, and roadcraft that matter, start here.
